28 Day Challenge report
I started my 21 day challenge on 1/9/17. I was 241 pounds that morning. Just completed week 3 and down 10.6 pounds. I purchased 2 additional tubs of meal replacement so I am having a shake for breakfast and lunch. I spend an hour on a bike daily and I have been working out with dumbells 2 to 3 times a week. The program works if you will stick with it. I do get hungry at times, and I really miss sweets. I am 51 years old and have been between 230 and 250 pounds for over 20 years. I have my second month's order of the challenge on the way and I plan to continue the program until I am satisfied with the end result. I don't have a "number" in mind, as much as I have an "image" of what I want to look like. When I get there I will have to figure out what it takes to maintain the new me so I don't return to my old normal.
I am not sure if this is the correct way to give an update to my original post....I do not do social media and this is my first attempt at updating a post... I completed my first month of the 28 day challenge down 11.8 pounds. At the end of the second month I was down another 5.2 pounds for a total drop of 17 pounds. Month 2 was a difficult month for me with 2 out of town trips that included eating out. I am in the middle of the third week of my third month and I am down a total of 19.8 pounds which puts me at 221.2 this morning. The first week of this month included another out of town trip and no weight loss due to not sticking with the program effectively. I continue to ride the bike almost every day and hit the dumbells 2-3 times a week. My progress has slowed but continues in the right direction. I don't feel hungry as often, but it still happens a couple of times a week, and I still miss sweets (part of the problem with the out of town trips and their negative impact on my progress). I will say again that this program works if you will stick with it. I am currently at the lowest weight I have been at in over 20 years. I looked into this program for several months and considered other options before deciding to embark on this journey. If you are trying to figure out if this program is worth the cost and the effort - the answer is yes it is. Month 4 will ship to me next week. I will give another update in a month or two.... I noticed I didn't reference in my original post I am 6 feet tall and my BMI was over 30 at the start of the challenge - which put me in the obese category by my doctors charts.
