Fat loss in my mid 40's
I'm in my mid 40's and work in public safety. My day starts when the alarm goes off at 4:00 am and I don't get home until 7:00 pm (if I'm lucky). Running has been my go to exercise for years. However, an achilles injury about a year ago sidelined me. Since then I've managed to put on 15 pounds and can really feel it. I'm finally able to start running a little bit, but the damage is done and I'm really struggling with this extra weight. Any pointers to get me back on track?
Richard, with three knee surgeries and two back surgeries in my past I know how you feel. I really enjoy mountain biking now. Long trail rides are nice but I don't have much time so I rely on hard intervals on a slight uphill grade. These 400 yard semi sprints are grueling and you can go at whatever intensity and recovery you like. Do enough of these and your lungs and quads are screaming while your knees will love you. Be sure to warm that Achilles up properly before hitting it. Stay Wild .Coach PReply
